Internationally acclaimed and award-winning Personal and Corporate Fitness Trainer Mish McCormack leads by example.
Her inspirational success story began during her teenage years when she competed in gymnastics at a national level. Her enthusiasm, drive and commitment catapulted her to international success where she shared the stage with fitness heroes including Arnold Schwarzenegger. A past stunt-double on Xena Warrior Princess and international fitness and figure competitor, Mish understands what it takes to achieve success.
In her high-achieving and active life she has also been the recipient of the Fitness Life NZ Personal Trainer of the Year three times (an unbeaten record), the Powerade NZ Personal Trainer of the Year, and the NZ Contribution to Community Excellence Award.
Mish’s dynamic and engaging personality and endless positivity has resulted in her appearing on three international magazine covers, and her words of fitness wisdom have inspired many through her regular contributions over the last ten years to Fitness Life, NZ’s leading health and fitness magazine. She has also been featured in the book Sunrise from the Summit by Michele Cox in which 18 successful New Zealand sportswomen share their stories.
With a Certificate of Fitness Management from the University of Otago, and 16 years experience as Personal Trainer, Mish is REPs registered and sits on the board of the PT Council of New Zealand.
To Mish, exercise is a preventative medicine and she is concerned that New Zealanders are more overweight now then ever before. Not one to sit back, she has dedicated her life to doing something about it.
She works tirelessly to improve the lifestyles of as many New Zealanders as she can. Using her skills, plus strategic planning and programming, she encourages, inspires and motivates people to exercise more and eat better.
Mish goes where the people are: to the gym, residential communities, and workplaces in all the major NZ cities. Through her company Mishfitness she leads an expanding team of exercise professionals.
Mother to her ten-year-old daughter, Mish is totally passionate and committed to helping all New Zealanders improve their health and wellness.
